作为插画专业的学生, students are exposed to a range of techniques that use both digital and traditional mediums. The program emphasizes the development of practical skills that can be applied in diverse fields, and begins with foundational courses in painting, 设计及图形绘制. As students progress through the program, they have the option to specialize in areas such as Illustration for Publishing, 娱乐设计, 表面设计, 运动设计, 自由, 与美术. This allows students to tailor their coursework to their individual interests and career goals.
- A minimum of 90 credits are required for this major, including at least 37 upper-division credits.
- As a condition of graduation in this major, students are required to participate in the Illustration Portfolio Exhibition during the Spring Quarter of their senior year.
Entering and completing the Illustration major
In order to earn a degree, you must complete at least one academic major.

- The University requires a grade of C- or better in all classes that apply to a major or minor; however, programs may require higher minimum grades in specific courses. You may repeat an SPU course only once for a higher grade.
